Events are organized by date and include a category in thier title. CAU is not responsible for the content, respresentations, or statements made in any event advertisement submitted to us and posted. Please contact the phone number, email address, or website in the event advertistment with any questions - we are unable to pass along messages to event organizers.

Want to submit an event? Events submitted must include a description of the event, including the dates of the event, any cost associated with the event, who is sponsoring the event, and where the event is going to be held. All events must include a contact name, phone number, email address, or website. If you are a CAU member, the event advertistment will sent out to our mailing list at least 24 hours prior to it being posted on this site. If you are not a CAU member, the event advertisment will be send out to our mailing list, however it will not be posted on this site. Events are emailed and posted as is - please proofread your advertisments prior to submission. CAU reserves the right to edit, condense, or reject any advertisement. Events should be submitted at least two weeks prior to the start date of the event. All event submissions should be sent to art-events@communityartsunited.org.

UPSTATE ARTIST GUILD

FIGURE DRAWING SESSIONS have started up again and, beginning next week, will be held at our new workspace at 237 Sheridan. Figure drawing meets every Tuesday, from 6:30-9:30PM, and costs $12/session ($10 for members) with a pre-pay option for four sessions for $40 ($32 for members). If there is enough interest a second weekly session on Sundays may be made available.

Drawing and Painting Courses

Artist Nina Stanley is also offering instructed Painting and Drawing courses, as well as a regular non-instructed Figure Drawing workshop at her studio off of New Scotland Ave. Painting courses are $200 while Drawing is $150, including a $25 deposit. Instructed classes offer discounts to UAG members. Non-instructed figure drawing is $40/month or $15 to drop in. Classes are ongoing throughout the week.
